SAGE & THYME Communication Skills Workshops support clinical and non-clinical staff in using the skills needed to notice distress, listen carefully and respond helpfully. Each 2hr 45 minute online workshop demonstrates the communication skills required to provide person-centred support and offers a structured approach for dealing with the concerns of patients and their carers. The workshop uses a mixture of small group work, lectures and videos. To register for SAGE & THYME you must: 1) Work in health and social care. 2) Have access to a PC/Laptop/Tablet with a webcam and microphone (smartphones not suitable). Guidance At End of Life (GAEL) Online Workshops These workshops are open to any Registered Nurse working in the hospital setting, especially those who care and support people in the last few days of life. You will join other nursing colleagues in working through a case study relating to communication and care planning at end of life. The workshop will highlight the importance of the key actions in NHSGGC Guidance at End of Life. Each 2hr 30-minute session will include a presentation, video clips and group work.
